South Coast Tour
(Pickup Time: 8:30 – 9:00 AM, approximately 10 hours long)
Iceland´s South Coast is full of natural marvels, and the two spectacular waterfalls: Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss, are just the beginning. The iconic black sand beach- Reynisfjara- with its basalt columns rocks will leave you mesmerized. In the summer you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of some puffins buzzing around the Dyrhólaey cliffs. We’ll make a stop at the Solheimajökull glacial tongue, and then visit our turn-around point at Vík, Iceland’s Southernmost town, where you can see the stoic sea stacks protruding up from the ocean. Hot Golden Circle
(Pickup Time: 10:00 – 10:30 AM, approximately 8 hours long)
Come join us, Gateway to Iceland-style, on this classic tour. First up – Thingvellir, which stands for a critical lesson in Iceland´s parliamentary history. The stunning Gullfoss waterfall, is one of Iceland’s natural sources of pride and should not be missed. Get an up-close and personal view of the exploding Strokkur geyser at Haukadalur. The UNESCO Global Geopark, Reykjanes is a hidden jewel! Often unexplored, the two lovely lakes of Kleifarvatn and Graenavatn will start the tour off right. Next you will see some of the many surface expressions of geothermal activity with the colored soil at Krysuvik and churning mud pools at Gunnuhver. Sitting at the edge of the North Atlantic are the grand cliffs of Valahnukar, and just next door is Iceland’s oldest lighthouse – Reykjanesviti. Then walk across the Bridge between the Continents that straddles both the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. After the tour, we provide a complimentary dropoff at KEF airport (~2:30pm), the Blue Lagoon (~2:45pm), or back to downtown Reykjavík (~3:30pm). Read our full tour description here.
Snæfellsnes National Park
(Pickup Time: 8:30 – 9:00 AM, approximately 11 hours long)
Our Snæfellsnes Peninsula is a perfect way to discover West Iceland! If you have read Jules Verne´s ´Journey to the Center of the Earth, you´ll recognize the impressive 1,450-meter Snaefellsjokull (Snæfellsjökull) volcano glacier. We will make a stop at the stoic Gerðuberg basalt columns and as well as catch a glimpse of the spectacular bird cliffs and fishing hamlet in Arnarstapi. We will also take you to the church-shaped mountain Kirkjufell along with its neighboring sister waterfall, Kirkjufellsfoss.
