Product Description

Are you ready for an endless day in Iceland? Join our Midnight Sun Hot Golden Circle Tour.

During June and July, you are able to experience the beauty of the midnight sun. The sun refuses to set completely, leaving famous landmarks basking in the golden light. Let our knowledgeable local guide take you on a unique journey to Iceland’s most popular destination – the Golden Circle.

The sites we will explore together are Thingvellir National Park, Haukadalur geothermal area, Gullfoss “The Golden Waterfall” and Secret Lagoon.

Visit the place of the world’s first parliament – Althingi (Alþingi)– at Thingvellir (Þingvellir) National Park. Eurasian and North American tectonic plates can be seen here, slowly drifting apart from each other.

Haukadalur valley brings earth to life! Geysers are on display here, as one of only 5 countries in the world where you can see them. Strokkur (old Geyser’s younger brother) erupts every 5-10 minutes, so keep your cameras ready!

The golden waterfall Gullfoss will leave you breathless as you walk alongside its cascades. It is truly beautiful on photos, but quite important in Icelandic culture as the birthplace of environmentalism.

On our Midnight Sun Golden Circle tour, you will also have an opportunity to act like a local, by visiting one of  Iceland’s oldest swimming pools – Secret Lagoon (Gamla Laugin) and dipping yourself in its hot springs.

Price (including Secret Lagoon admission) is 12.800 ISK per person
Please bring your swimsuit and towel (both can be rented if forgotten).

Do you have nothing planned for the day until the departure for this Midnight Sun Golden Circle? Then we highly recommend joining our Reykjanes tour which starts at 8:30 – 9:00 am and brings you back to Reykjavik around 3:30 pm leaving you with some time to rest in the town and get ready for this evening tour. Reykjanes tour departs on the same days as this Midnight Sun Golden Circle tour – Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Click here to learn more about the Reykjanes tour.

3 tours in 2 days!

We booked 3 tours with this company as we only were in Iceland as a stopover with 2 full days and 2 partial days (arrival and departure days). Being summer, we had the opportunity to take 3 tours, though, as you can do the Reykjanes tour and then go on the midnight sun hot golden circle tour that same evening. We also did the South Shore Adventure. All 3 tours were fantastic with great guides - Andres F, Ian, and another whose name I cannot remember :( The sites were great, the guides informative and funny and interesting, offering both information as well as stories and commentary on Icelandic culture and history. I did not know initially when I booked where we would be staying, so had to secure the pick up location with the company by e mail after booking and was a little nervous about making sure we had the right location for each of the 3 tours, but it was no problem at all. The smaller groups also allow the guides to change things according to weather, crowds, and the preferences of the group, so the order might be changed a bit, which really helps to avoid downpours at certain sites or the largest crowds, etc. I recommend the midnight sun tour because it does maximize your time in Iceland if limited, plus the crowds are much smaller, and or someone of a more southern latitude, it is a really unique experience to be able to walk around at midnight with the sun still light enough to see the sites and take photos.
