Most folks have been to a public swimming pool. Enter the correct changing room for your gender, then peel off your clothes, put on the swimming clothes, shower and enter the pool. Simply?
Well no so quick here in Iceland. You see we don’t use Chlorine in the pools, or very little. Why?

Because after taking off our outdoor clothes we walk naked to the showers, wash our bodies, as if you were back at home. Then put on the swim clothes and then venture out to the pool.
You must wash all of your body and hair if you are going to swim, for some hot spa type pools, if your hair is tied up and not going in the water you can avoid the hair wash.
It is considered extremely rude to enter a pool un-washed. No body is giving score or judging your body, frankly nobody cares.
